Eid Mubarak
The greatest Eid following the conclusion of the yearly Hajj journey, at the season of Qurbani, is Eid-ul-Adha. Qurbani means Sacrifice. In addition, we are deeply saying eid Mubarak to all of you in the world.
Three days, from the 10th to the 12th of Dhu-al-Hijjah, are set aside for animal sacrifice.
Even though Eid-ul-Adha has no direct association with the Hajj pilgrimage, it is only one day after it is over and has historical importance because of this.
Eid-ul-Adha
Eid-ul-Adha is observed on the tenth day of Dhu-al-Hijjah, the last twelfth month of the Islamic lunar calendar. Following the yearly Holy Pilgrimage of Hajj, the celebration day depends on a valid moon sighting.
Eid-ul-Adha is celebrated to remember Prophet Ibrahim’s dedication to Allah SWT and his willingness to offer his son, Ismail, as a sacrifice.
The duration of Eid-ul-Adha celebrations might range from two to four days..Three days, from the 10th to the 12th of Dhu-al-Hijjah, are set aside for animal sacrifice.
As a mark of this event and in honor of the sacrifice made by Prophet Ibrahim for Allah SWT, the act of Qurbani includes the slaughter of an animal as a sacrifice.
